Help us build a fully-equipped library for 300+ students at Escuela Primaria La Esperanza in rural Guatemala. The nearest library is over 40km away, and most families cannot afford books. This library will be a beacon of learning, featuring: - 5,000 books in Spanish and indigenous Kaqchikel language - 10 computer stations with educational software - A dedicated reading garden and quiet study area - After-school tutoring space for community volunteers - Solar panels to ensure reliable electricity Literacy rates in this region are 30% below the national average. A library will change that. We have already secured the land and architectural plans — we just need your help to build it.
Every bit counts. Wishing you success!
So inspired by what you're doing. Thank you!
Been following this campaign from the start. Go team!

The library foundation was laid last week with a ceremony attended by the entire school. Students wrote their names and wishes on the foundation stones. Book donations from publishers in Guatemala City have already exceeded 2,000 volumes. The building is on track for completion in 8 weeks.
