How Donating Works

One-time and recurring donations, credits, optional tips, certificates, and why 100% of your gift reaches the campaign.

Giving to a campaign

Find a campaign, choose an amount, and donate. Share a Goal charges no fee on donations — the full amount reaches the campaign. Donations are processed in USD; your bank handles any currency conversion at its own rate.

One-time vs. recurring

  • One-time — a single contribution.
  • Recurring — a monthly or yearly donation that renews automatically. Manage or cancel it anytime from your dashboard.

Optional tip

At checkout you can add a voluntary tip that supports the platform. It's separate from your donation, never required, and can be set to zero.

Credits

Some platform actions use credits. You receive free monthly credits and can purchase more. Credits power features like certain on-platform contributions and marketplace boosts.

Donation certificates

After donating you can generate a donation certificate as a record of your gift, and save it to your profile under your certificates. It's a lightweight PDF you can keep or share.

Refunds

For All-or-Nothing campaigns that don't reach their goal by the deadline, donations are automatically refunded to the original payment method.
