Campaign deadlines

The deadline is when fundraising closes. For All-or-Nothing it decides whether funds are kept or refunded; leaving it blank keeps the campaign open-ended.

What the deadline does

The deadline sets when your campaign stops accepting donations.

  • All-or-Nothing campaigns — at the deadline the system checks whether the goal was met. Met: funds are kept. Not met: donations are automatically refunded.
  • Flexible campaigns — the deadline simply closes new donations; everything raised is kept.

Leaving it open

If you don't set a deadline, the campaign stays open until you close it manually. Good for ongoing causes.

Tip

Shorter deadlines create urgency and can drive donations, but give yourself enough time to promote.
