Choosing your funding goal

All-or-Nothing only keeps funds if you hit the goal; Flexible keeps whatever is raised. The goal type locks once the first donation arrives.

Goal types

When you create a campaign you pick how funding behaves:

  • All-or-Nothing — you keep the money only if you reach your goal by the deadline. If you fall short, donations are refunded. Best when a project needs full funding to happen at all.
  • Flexible — you keep whatever is raised, goal met or not. Best for ongoing needs where every bit helps.

Important: the goal type locks

Once the first donation is received, the goal type can no longer be changed. This protects donors — someone who gave under All-or-Nothing rules can't have those rules switched on them later. Decide carefully before launching.

Setting the amount

Pick a realistic target that covers your actual need. You can show progress publicly to build momentum.
